Shalvah
Contact: Rabbi James Goodman
Shalvah was developed by Congregation Neve Shalom as an outreach arm of the congregation to Jews living with alcoholism and chemical dependency, and to give support to those in recovery, their friends and family. Shalvah means “serenity” in Hebrew, as it teaches spiritual resources as a response to the problems occasioned by addiction.
Shalvah meets weekly on Thursday evenings at Neve Shalom, 1240 Dautel (in the Rainbow Village).
