Roffman Family Day of Service April 29th, 2012 YPD joined forces with St. Louis Hillel and the Karen Solomon Young Adult Service Initiative for the 4th Annual Roffman Family Day of Service. More than 65 young adults met at Wash. U for a brief intro and Jewish learning component, before filing onto a bus headed to Gateway 180, a St. Louis city homeless shelter. They spent the afternoon at the shelter, brightening the chlidren's day. They played outside, painted faces, did manicures, cooked, and played games. Photos here.
Red States, Blue States & The Jewish State April 22nd, 2012 The Anti-Defamation League, Young Professionals Division of the Jewish Federation, and the Press Club of Metropolitan St. Louis, co-sponsored the 2012 Milton and Frieda Ferman Memorial Lecture, "Red States, Blue States and the Jewish State". The speaker was Gil Hoffman, chief political analyst and correspondent for the Jerusalem Post. Photos here.
Naturally Passover March 14th, 2012 Young professionals filled the JCC Arts & Education Wing for a night of Passover food and discussion. CRC Rabbi Susan Talve facilitated, while Natural Foods Chef Elisheva (Eli) Margulies whipped up healthy, fresh takes on 'charoset.' Photos here.
YPD is for post-college Jewish men and women in their 20s and 30s. YPD works to make and strengthen Jewish connections and create opportunities for young Jews to become involved in the Jewish community and in Jewish Federation. Activities include direct service projects, social programs, leadership development, educational programs and meaningful Israel experiences. YPD holds a seat on Federation’s board of directors.

Kol Yom Kol Yom means “every day.” Open to young leaders who contribute $365 or more to Jewish Federation's annual community campaign. This society provides a meaningful stepping stone for YPDers as they engage with the community and inspired to increase their gifts. Special Kol Yom recognition efforts are planned through YPD.
